2020 brought many challenges to all of us, but it was especially difficult for non-profit and charitable organizations, many of which experienced increased demand but fewer donations.
As a team, we wanted to assist by contributing our time and efforts to the following causes:
Veterans Food Bank of Calgary
Wanting to help those in need, especially during the holiday season, our team banded together to collect donations during a month-long food drive, which was also matched by a $2,000 donation from Trico.
Immigrant Services Calgary
– 2020 Distinction Awards
Since 2017, Trico has sponsored the Youth Scholarship Award, which recognizes the achievements and contributions made by youth immigrants in Calgary. Our founder Wayne Chiu was also proud to be the Keynote Speaker this year.
STARS Air Ambulance
In support of STARS Lottery – STARS Air Ambulance’s largest yearly fundraiser – Trico has been the builder of the Calgary STARS Lottery home for the past four years. The 2021 Lottery home, is located in the beautiful SE community of Legacy. It is valued at over 1 million dollars and spans over 2,600 sq. ft. with a triple-car garage. Mark your calenders for January 14, 2021 for when ticket sales open!

Fairview Pump Park
Trico helped fund this community-organized project, created to enhance Fairview’s existing amenity space. The Fairview Pump Track is also the first asphalt pump track in the city designed for use by bikers and skateboarders.

Celebrating Filipino Culture and Heritage, Trico was pleased to be a sponsor of this year’s virtual event, which showcased Filipino folk dances from different regions of the Philippines.
